    Biswaroop Mukherjee joins Aker Solutions as VP-people & transformation

    Biswaroop Mukherjee has joined Aker Solutions as its new VP-people & transformation. In this role, Mukherjee will be overseeing the people and transformation agenda for Aker in India.

    Mukherjee was previously associated with Tata Motors as its head HR-commercial vehicle business unit (CVNU). This was his second tenure with Tata Motors, which began in April 2019. Earlier, he was associated with the company from 2011 to 2016.

    Mukherjee, who holds an MBA from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), spent the initial couple of years of his professional journey with ABP News Network as deputy manager HR, from 2004 to 2006.

    He then moved to Dr Reddy’s Laboratories as manager-human resources. For four years, he successfully handled manpower planning and budgeting, compensation and benefits, performance management, employee engagement, talent management, HR operations, employee relations and outsourced manpower management.

    May of 2010 saw him moving to Deloitte as manager-talent delivery. In July 2011 began his six-year long association with Tata Motors. He joined as divisional manager-HR, international business. Less than two years into this role, he was elevated to head-HR, international business. Just over three years later, he was promoted to head HR-commercial unit, CVBU and international subsidiaries.

    In August 2017 he relocated from Mumbai to Noida, when he took on the role of HR leader-grid solutions, software services, HVDC, South Asia region, at GE Power. However, this stint lasted merely a year and nine months at the end of which he returned to Tata Motors.

    Biswaroop Mukherjee’s second stint at Tata Motors began as senior general manager and head-talent acquisition, employer branding and industry academia relation, in April 2019. Within eight months, he was elevated to head HR-commercial vehicle business unit.

    Mukherjee is fond of writing. He recently launched his website and also mentioned the launch of his book, Apostles on LinkedIn
