Hero MotoCorp has announced the appointment of Richa Malik as head HR – corporate & enabling functions. Based in Gurugram, she has been in the role since August 2026 and is leading HR strategy for the corporate and enabling functions portfolio.
Richa Malik comes with nearly 18 years of experience across pharmaceuticals, consumer products, technology and consulting, Malik joins from Kohler Co., where she spent 5 years. Her last role at Kohler was general manager HR – K&B South Asia for 11 months from October 2025 to August 2026.
Her career progression has been marked by diverse leadership stints. She started in technology as an associate system engineer at IBM India in Bangalore from July 2008 to June 2009, working on Java Web Services for an overseas client. After a brief Summer Internship at FIAT India Automobiles in 2010 focussed on attrition analysis and employee engagement survey, she entered HR consulting as a consultant at Cerebrus Consultants from June 2011 to May 2015.
She moved to human capital – assurance at PwC, Gurgaon from June 2015 to June 2016 for a year, followed by manager – HR at Yum! Brands – KFC India from July 2016 to Dec 2017.
Malik then joined Cipla in Mumbai for 3 years, serving as senior manager – HR from Dec 2017 to July 2019 and associate director from Aug 2019 to June 2021. At Kohler, she grew from lead – talent management & HR business partner from June 2021 to May 2023 to deputy general manager – HR from April 2023 to October 2025, before her final promotion as a general manager.
