    Bharat Narang steps into director-HR role at NatWest after 9 years at BNP Paribas

    Narang is backed by two decades of experience spread over hospitality and BFSI

    Narang kicked off his professional journey as a process executive with Infosys in July of 2006. Soon, he switched to the banking space with his first stint as a business analyst with Goldman Sachs, in October of 2007.

    Then followed a year and a half of dabbling in human resources in the hospitality space with Marriott International.

    He was back in the BFSI space when he joined JPMorgan Chase to look after talent acquisition. Over two years later, he moved to Deutsche Bank as HR business partner, in 2014.

    Almost three years into this role, Bharat Narang moved yet again to take up the role of assistant manager-human resources, BNP Paribas, in July of 2017.

    He was promoted twice, in 2020 and then in 2022. The most recent promotion in February of 2025 had put him in the position of vice president-human resources, based out of Chennai.

    A Commerce graduate from Loyola College, University of Madras, Narang went on to complete and Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from Loyola Institute of Business Administration in 2011.

    He is “looking forward to the new chapter and the exciting journey ahead” as director-HR at NatWest.

    Known for his diligence and commitment, this charismatic and highly resourceful professional is bound to be an asset to NatWest.

    Bharat Narang’s appointment signals NatWest’s intent to strengthen its HR leadership with a professional who has navigated diverse industries and steadily risen through the BFSI ranks. His mix of global banking exposure, hospitality HR experience, and long tenure at BNP Paribas equips him with both breadth and depth in people management. As NatWest sharpens its talent strategy in a competitive financial services market, Narang’s proven ability to align HR with business growth will be critical in shaping culture, driving capability, and positioning the bank for sustained transformation.
