With monsoons arrive all kinds of health issues, from common cold and viral fever to stomach disorders. To ensure that employees develop better immunity during such seasonal transitions, Botanic Healthcare has started serving them herbal teas daily at work. These brews have been developed by the company’s in-house research and development team.

Clearly, the company’s HR believes in preventive healthcare, which is why it is integrating wellness into daily routines rather than treating it as a one-off intervention. This is the organisation’s way of building a resilient and health-conscious workplace culture.

Infused with ginger, turmeric, black pepper and other beneficial spices, the teas are aimed at strengthening employees’ immunity, aiding digestion, and promoting overall well-being during seasonal transitions.

This daily wellness ritual fits naturally into the workday, reinforcing the role of small, intentional habits in building a healthier work environment.

According to Viswanadh Sarma, general manager, corporate HR, Botanic Healthcare, “When something as simple as a cup of tea is informed by science, made accessible at the workplace, and woven into the rhythm of the day, it becomes part of a care-first culture.”

The ritual is a part of the overall employee-wellness framework of Botanic Healthcare, complemented by existing preventive medical check-ups, full medical and accident coverage, financial help in the form of loan policies, crèche facilities within the premises, and strong POSH policy.

To further support the framework there are structured engagement initiatives, referral and reward schemes for talents, safety training, open communication through regular town halls and feedback mechanisms, as well as rewards and recognition programmes.
