Acer India has launched ‘Matrika,’ a menstrual leave policy aimed at fostering a more inclusive and supportive work environment. The initiative aligns with Acer India’s mission to promote gender inclusivity, employee well-being and workplace equity

Under the new policy, female employees will receive one additional day of paid leave each month. This will allow them to manage their menstrual health without affecting their regular leave balance.

Harish Kohli, president & managing director, Acer India, emphasised the significance of this move. “A truly supportive workplace extends beyond policies. It fosters understanding, respect, and meaningful change. With ‘Matrika,’ we aim to normalise discussions around women’s health while ensuring our employees feel valued and empowered.”

Bhasker Bhandary, senior director-human eesources, Acer India, echoed this sentiment. “True inclusivity isn’t just about policy changes—it’s about creating a culture of empathy. ‘Matrika’ acknowledges the health needs of our women employees and reinforces our commitment to workplace equity.”

As more companies recognise the importance of menstrual leave, Acer India positions itself as a progressive employer championing gender equality. With ‘Matrika,’ the company continues to embed inclusivity into its core values, ensuring every employee feels supported and respected.
