Kotak Mahindra Bank has rolled out a new fitness allowance for its staff, along with remote-working benefits. As part of the ‘Health to the Power Infinity’ initiative, these allowances will be in effect from December 1, 2020.
The employees have to share their fitness goals with the Company to be able to receive a fitness allowance every month. The remote-working allowance, on the other hand, is aimed to make the work-from-home experience comfortable, smooth and productive for the employees. For this allowance, the Bank’s remote-working policy identifies whether an employee is a full-time or a part-time remote worker.
Being aware of the way employees’ domestic and professional lives have been disrupted by the pandemic, the Bank took it upon itself to help all its employees —across 1,602 branches — achieve a balance. Kotak’s ‘Health to the Power Infinity’ programme has been organising various activities for about eight months now, since April 2020, to ensure the employees’ physical and mental health amidst these uncertain and troubling times. The programme has been targeting the employees’ physical as well as emotional health, along with their financial and social well-being. The idea is to ensure that they benefit holistically and are able to progress towards a more wholesome and healthier way of living.
