Apna.Co, the professional networking platform, in collaboration with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), has successfully facilitated employability prospects for lakhs of students across India. The partnership made job opportunities available to 3.5 lakh students across 6,000 colleges in just nine months.

As part of this collaboration, the AICTE Career Portal helps connect students with verified job opportunities. It has enabled over eight lakh job applications across over 44,000 companies, including top industry giants such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, HDFC Bank, Deloitte and Tata Motors. Additionally, it has 1.6 lakh job opportunities lined up for campus hiring for the next four months, till June 2025. The career portal is helping the youth smoothly transit from being graduates to being meaningfully employed. Its free career masterclasses were attended by over 30,000 students and significantly helped bridge skill gaps. These classes also guided students on how to build resumes, prepare for interviews and lessons on emerging technologies. With tier-2 and tier-3 students also benefitting, the portal managed to eliminate all geographical barriers, making equal opportunities available to one and all.

The AICTE Career Portal has helped students develop industry-relevant skills including the top technical in-demand skills, such as Python, Java, C++, data analytics, SQL, cloud computing (AWS, Azure), cybersecurity and artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML).

Communication, teamwork and problem-solving continue to be the most sought-after soft skills. Sector-wise, job demand has been the highest in technology and IT services, followed by BFSI, retail and e-commerce, healthcare and LifeSciences, and logistics.

Recently, Apna.Co and AICTE also conducted CampusInc 2025, an event which brought together industry, government, and academia at the AICTE auditorium in Delhi. The event saw participation by over 300 delegates and more than 12 distinguished speakers. The panel discussions explored a wide range of topics, including AI, tech and automation, industry expectations from campus talent and academia and strategies to hire and skill GenZ.

According to Nirmit Parikh, founder and CEO, Apna.co, “Apna.co is on a mission to build a future where every student, irrespective of their background, has an equal opportunity to thrive in the professional world.”

In the words of TG Sitharam, chairman, AICTE, “By bridging academia and industry, we are shaping a future-ready workforce equipped to navigate emerging challenges.
