The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts has invited applications for the Leela Leadership Development Programme (LLDP) – Class of 2027. This is the Leela’s flagship 15-month initiative designed to nurture the next generation of leaders in Indian luxury hospitality.

Launched in 2022 in partnership with the Indian School of Hospitality (ISH) in alliance with Les Roches, the programme combines academic excellence with The Leela’s cultural ethos. It blends classroom learning, global exposure, and hands-on experience across The Leela’s properties to build well-rounded professionals ready to lead in a fast-evolving industry.

Targeted at high-potential talent, LLDP develops functional expertise, leadership qualities, and life skills through a mix of on-the-job training, online modules, and leadership bootcamps. Participants gain exposure across two Leela hotels, culminating in a capstone project and certification from ISH in alliance with Les Roches.

Commenting on the initiative, Anuraag Bhatnagar, chief executive officer, The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts, said, “At The Leela, leadership is a responsibility to uphold our legacy while shaping the future of Indian luxury. LLDP is our investment in that future — nurturing leaders who will carry forward our culture of grace, precision, and purpose.”

Open to internal and external candidates with a hotel management degree and at least one year of operational experience, the programme involves a rigorous selection process including assessments, psychometric tests, and interviews with senior leadership.

Isha Goyal, senior vice president and head–human resources, added, “LLDP is a cornerstone of our people strategy, offering aspiring leaders a structured career path rooted in mentorship, growth, and our unique culture.”

Since its inception, LLDP has successfully developed three batches of future-ready talent. With the Class of 2027, The Leela aims to continue building a strong leadership pipeline that reflects its commitment to excellence, inclusivity and long-term growth in Indian hospitality.
