    CL Educate has appointed Alok Mehta as president, CBO-Talevate & HEX/ group CHRO. In this role, Mehta will lead the business aimed at transforming the practice of education, and enabling talent meet its potential success.

    An alumnus of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Alok Mehta began his human resources journey as assistant personnel manager, Ranbaxy Laboratories, in 1993. For six years, he worked in corporate HR, with responsibility for international HR operations. In 1999, he moved from New Delhi to Bengaluru, to join Motorola JV, Pagepoint Services, as head-human resources.

    August of 2000 saw him take up the role of manager-human resources, Motorola India, Global Software Group. In 2002, he was promoted to rewards (comp and benefits) manager. Three years into this role, he was elevated to head-talent engagement and development. By the time he moved on from Motorola India, in April 2006, he had become head-human resources.

    Mehta’s next stop was Deutsche Bank Operations International, where he was director and head-human resources, leading the people function for the Bank’s captive centre, as it grew from 200 to 2500 employees in one year..

    From April 2007 to September 2011, Mehta was associated with AstraZeneca Pharma India as vice president-human resources. This was followed by a stint with Metro Cash & Carry, as director-human resources and member India board. He also headed India Value Fund Advisors as chief people officer for a while before joining Intas Pharmaceuticals as executive vice president-global human resources, working out of Ahmedabad.

    The year 2014 saw him back in Bengaluru, as founder, Alouqik Consulting, enabling people and organisations to achieve their goals and dreams, through transformational coaching, organisation and leadership development.

    The period 2018 to 2022 was witness to Mehta essaying the role of executive director human resources, Hexagon Capability Centre India, based out of Hyderabad. In April 2022, he was appointed executive director, global HR projects, Hexagon AB.

    It was in December of 2022 that Alok Mehta joined Total Environment Building Systems, as group CHRO & president.

    Appreciated for his deep sense of responsibility, as well as his coaching and mentoring skills, Alok Mehta will surely be an asset to CL Educate in this new assignment. HRKatha wishes him all the best!
