Amit Chincholikar has been roped in by the Hinduja Group for the role of group president-human resources. Before this assignment Chincholikar was global chief human resources officer, Yokohama Off-Highway Tires. He steps into the shoes of Amanppreet Singh Bhatia, who has moved on after completing five successful years with the Group

An alumnus of the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune, Chincholikar is a Tata veteran, who had parted from his role as global CHRO at Tata Consumer Products (TCP) in January 2023. Since then he has been with Compport as a member of its advisory board helping steer the growth vision at the HR tech firm on a contractual basis.

Chincholikar has held prominent positions at various large organisations throughout his 30-year long career.

His global experience in human resources across various industries covers HR strategy, leadership, and the implementation of transformative HR practices in diverse regions, including India, the US and Singapore.

In addition to his HR leadership, he has spearheaded key functions such as sustainability, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), corporate communications, and business excellence in his previous roles.

He began his professional journey as associate director and country head, rewards practice at professional services company, Mercer. After that came a short nine-month stint with Universal Music Group as VP – HR, which was followed by five years at Aditya Birla Group, where he served as the group head rewards and benefits for more than half a decade.

Novelis was his next stop, where he served as director-corporate human resources and global HR lead – corporate strategy organisation, based out of Atlanta, US. Then began a more than eight-year long association with Tata Sons in 2010. After spending five years as vice president-group human resources, he was elevated to senior VP – group HR for two years, in 2016. It was in 2018 that he moved to Tata Consumer Products, initiatlly as global CHRO designate and then as global CHRO within three months.

It was in February 2023 that he joined Yokohama Off-Highway Tires as GCHRO, based out of Mumbai.

Amit Chincholikar feels “privileged and humbled beyond measure” for this opportunity to begin a new journey with Hinduja Group. His social-media post says he looks forward to “being part of this incredible Group and this exciting journey as we build the future – one step at a time.” HRKatha wishes him all the best in his latest role.
