After serving BMC software for almost five years, Sakaar Anand has taken on the role of chief people officer (CPO), BMC Helix.
This alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur is backed by over two decades of experience. He served as team lead, American Express, for a year at the beginning of his career before joining General Electric (GE), India Innovation Centre, in December of 2001. He stayed put for over six years, heading multiple functions, essaying the roles of project leader and programme manager. He handled vendor management, training, operational delivery and quality, IT finance as well as the SAP Centre of Excellence.
April of 2008 saw him accept the role of VP, software engineering, CA Technologies. Over two and a half years into this role, he was elevated to vice president, human resources, and worked out of California, US, for over five years. He was elevated to senior vice president, product operations and human resources, in February of 2016.
By September of 2017 he was back in India, playing senior vice president, software engineering till November of 2018, based out of Hyderabad.
After a decade-long association with CA Technologies, Sakaar Anand was roped in to play India head of HR, technology, BNY Mellon. This role required him to be based out of Pune, Maharashtra for over two years. He moved on to BMC Software as India head and head of HR in December, 2020.
Now, in his new role at BMC Helix, the IT services and consulting company that turns AI into action, he will focus on “how technology can amplify human potential—creating a more connected, adaptive and inspired workforce”.
In his social-media post, Sakaar Anand admits that he is “excited for this next chapter” at a company that reimagines “what’s possible when people and AI work together to drive innovation, purpose, and growth”.
