Emrana Sheikh has been appointed senior vice president and chief human resources officer (CHRO), ITT Inc., a diversified manufacturer of highly-engineered critical components and customised tech solutions for the transportation, industrial and energy markets. She will be based in the US.

Sheikh brings over 25 years of experience to the table. Her first long stint was with FedEx, where she served for over 12 years, from 1997 to 2009. Her last-held designation at FedEx was that of head of HR-learning and development for MEIA region.

In 2009 she moved to Mahindra & Mahindra, as vice president-human resources. This role saw her working out of Mumbai for over five years.

Her next stop was Asian Paints, where she served as vice president-human resources (global CHRO) for well over three years, from 2015 to 2018.

August of 2018 saw her taking on the role of enterprise HR head, India and South Asia, at Johnson & Johnson. More than two and a half years into this role, she was elevated to head of global talent management and insights-consumer health. This role saw her working out of the US. Two years later, she was promoted to vice president-global head of people experience and digital HR.

In 2023, Emrana Sheikh moved to Kenvue, as vice president-global head of people experience, strategy and innovation. Just over a year into this role, she was elevated to the position of chief talent and diversity officer of the consumer health company. She was responsible for overall talent ecosystem and diversity for Kenvue, in alignment with the company’s business strategies.

In her latest assignment at ITT, Sheikh will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive human capital strategy, in alignment with the organisation’s growth and business transformation strategy.

Emrana Sheikh holds a master’s degree in human resource management from the University of Mumbai.

HRKatha wishes this driven, focussed and result-oriented HR professional all the best in her new role at ITT.
