    Meenakshi Priyam takes charge as CHRO, automotive business, Mahindra Group

    Meenakshi Priyam, who was group CHRO udaan.com for over four years, has now taken charge as CHRO, automotive business, Mahindra Group.

    This alumna of XLRI Jamshedpur began her professional journey as deputy manager, Axis Bank, in June 2002. Over a year later, she joined Watson Wyatt as consultant. From July 2004 to July 2006, she was senior manager, Yes Bank. In fact, she was one of the first 50 employees of the bank, witnessing its journey to listing and growth, from 50 to 2600 employees!

    Priyam’s next stop was Johnson & Johnson, where she joined as senior HR business partner, in July 2006. Less than three years into this role, she was elevated to total rewards lead. By October 2011 she had become regional HR director, APAC.

    After a successful seven-year long stint with Johnson & Johnson, Meenakshi Priyam moved to Novartis in September 2013. As head of human resources, she was also a member of the Novartis India Executive Committee. By March 2016, she was heading HR for global product strategy and commercialisation (GPS&C) and global functions, based out of Switzerland.

    From 2017 to 2020, she was associated with GSK. She joined as head-human resources, India and South East Asia. In 2019, she was elevated to CHRO India and global HR head, classic and established products (CEP).

    It was in August of 2020 that she joined udaan.com as group CHRO. For over four years, she helped build the e-commerce b2b organisation, expanding reach across the country, enabling the Indian MSME segment with technology.

    Since 2022, Meenakshi Priyam has been chair-diversity, equity and inclusion committee, Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

    Known for being a skilled HRBP and compensation and benefits specialist, Meenakshi Priyam is sure to be an asset to the Mahindra Group.
