    Mohan Prasad Mettu appointed HRBP & lead-ER, Reliance Consumer Products

    Mettu moves from Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages after an association of over 16 years

    After spending over 16 years with Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, Mohan Prasad Mettu has joined Reliance Consumer Products, as human resource business partner and lead-employee relations.

    Mettu completed a PhD in human resources management from Andhra University, in 2012. He has also completed an LLB from Mahatma Gandhi Law College.

    His first professional assignment was as officer HRD, Shree Manufacturing way back in 1996. He then played labour welfare officer, at Andhra Cements for a year, before joining Extredge POS Systems, as assistant manager-HR, in 2000.

    His association with The Coca-Cola Company began in May 2001, as senior executive-HR, Secunderabad COBO plant, Hyderabad. Over two years into this role, he was elevated to assistant manager HR-Nellore COBO. A year later, he was promoted to associate manager HR-Vizag and Vijaywada COBO. December of 2005 saw him being elevated to area HR manager-rest of AP operations. During the six-year long tenure at Coca-Cola, he successfully groomed and developed high-performing associates through coaching and mentoring.

    From January 2008 to 2009, he played head-HR, B&S vertical (DGM HR), Maytasinfra. The next one year was spent recruiting thousands of associates and designing HR processes and policies.

    It was in 2009 that he joined Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages as region south sales HR manager, based out of Chennai. In 2011, he relocated to Bengaluru, to take up the position of KNT zonal HR manager. Almost two years into this role, he was elevated to national SC HR manager. Another elevation made him sales HR manager APTS. Two years later came another promotion making him zonal HR head, TN.

    From 2018 to 2022, he played HR head supply chain cluster South India. Over four and a half years later, he was promoted to head of total rewards. February of 2023 was witness to him being elevated again to SBP head of enabling functions. By February of 2024, he was promoted to head of people services-talent acquisition, payroll, HR operations, HR systems and future of work.

    Now in his new assignment at Reliance Consumer Products, Mohan Prasad Mettu will collaborate with business to align HR initiatives with business objectives. He will also be responsible for talent development and succession plan for critical roles, employee engagement and people productivity. It will also be his responsibility to ensure a positive and efficient work environment, in addition to developing HR policies to ensure compliance and best practices.
