RP Sanjiv Goenka Group has elevated Janesh K to the role of VP-group corporate HR. Janesh moves from RP-SG FMCG (Guiltfree Industries) where he was CHRO since 2020.

Armed with an MBA in human resources from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, this mechanical engineer began his professional journey with JSW Steel, as HRBP-talent acquisition and management, in 2006. Two and a half years later, he moved to Dr Reddy’s Laboratories as HR business partner.

Janesh’s next stop was Abbott, in June 2012, as HR business partner, where he ensured regular connect with the field force and resolved their issues and queries for the next year and a half.

October of 2013 saw Janesh joining Airtel as head HR-AP circle. Almost three years later, he moved again to take up the role of chief human resources officer, Airtel Payments Bank. This assignment saw him working out of Gurgaon for over three and a half years.

From July 2020 to January 2025, Janesh K served RP Sanjiv Goenka Group FMCG as CHRO.

In his latest assignment at the Group, Janesh will spearhead HR excellence initiatives, including assessment and capability building, leadership development academy, CXO talent management, succession planning, and building the CXO pipeline at the Group Level. He will be based out of Kolkata.

As VP-group corporate HR, this result-oriented, analytical and energetic HR leader will also contribute to the designing and implementation of strategic HR programmes to enhance the Group’s effectiveness and drive talent development.

HRKatha wishes Janesh all the best!
