Citi India has onboarded Sumeet Dubey as vice president – human resources. He will be based in Mumbai in a hybrid role.
Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Dubey said the shift from action-oriented, high-growth startups to a global powerhouse brings a completely different paradigm, adding he is excited to shape talent strategies, enable business growth and build a culture where people and performance thrive.
The appointment marks a new chapter after a 14-year HR journey that spans corporate giants, BFSI, and tech startups.
Dubey began his career in early 2012 as HR executive at Reliance Heavy Industries, based out of Reliance Corporate Park, Navi Mumbai, managing L&D coordination and online learning modules. He then moved to recruitment, serving as client-servicing manager at Gratitude India from April 2012 to April 2013, where he established the firm’s pan- India Hiring Wing.
From April 2013 to January 2016, he was assistant manager-HR at Vijay Engineering and Machinery Company, laying the foundation of the HR function. He then worked as talent- management specialist – COE for PMS & OD at Videocon Industries from January 2016 to May 2017.
His longest stint was at SBI Card from May 2017 to September 2021, where he rose from manager HR to senior manager HR over four years.
In September 2021, he joined HighRadius in Hyderabad, first as employee-experience partner and later as a senior manager – people & culture till April 2025, leading people advisory for 1,200 employees, driving org restructuring, RTO transformation, global PMS redesign, and reducing top talent attrition by seven per cent. He joined Yubi as HRBP leader in April 2025 before moving to Citi.
