Zoom Communications has announced that Carlos Quaderi will take on the role of head of Asia Pacific starting 1 August 2026, as the company doubles down on AI-led growth in the region.

Based in Singapore, Quaderi will report to Graeme Geddes, chief sales and growth officer, and be responsible for Zoom’s go-to-market across Australia, New Zealand, Asia, India and Korea. Japan is not part of the remit.

The leadership change comes at a time when APAC businesses are moving past point productivity tools toward AI-powered platforms that streamline workflows and turn discussions into outcomes faster.

With 30+ years in tech, he has also held senior leadership positions at Workday, AWS and Microsoft, leading enterprise growth and go-to-market functions across APAC and Japan. He will continue to oversee Zoom’s Asia operations during the transition.

His expanded mandate will focus on three areas: scaling the customer experience portfolio, growing the SMB segment, and broadening Zoom’s channel and partner ecosystem. He will partner closely with local teams and global leadership to execute those priorities.

Geddes emphasised that APAC is central to Zoom’s next phase of growth across enterprise, SMB and CX. He noted that Quaderi understands the market deeply and has been key to building momentum in the region. He added that Quaderi’s leadership will help more customers use Zoom AI to improve productivity and strengthen customer engagement.

Quaderi observed that teams across APAC need technology that operates at speed without losing the human element. He expressed eagerness to work with customers and partners to help them get more value from Zoom’s system of action and open ecosystem by connecting people, conversations and workflows to drive meaningful business impact.

Zoom is also investing further in APAC, including expanding its partner network and opening a new office in Singapore. Its platform integrates with existing business applications to support collaboration and deliver reliable customer experiences.

Zoom provides a system of action for modern work, enabling collaboration across meetings, phones and contact centre with Zoom AI.

Founded in 2011 and headquartered in San Jose, California, Zoom serves customers from startups to global enterprises.
