Megha Mahesh has joined PayU as director-talent and culture after spending over two years as head-D&I, culture and wellbeing at Airtel.

This Computer Science Engineer went on to complete an MBA in Human Resource Management from Management Development Institute in 2015.

After interning with Vodafone, she was absorbed as management trainee in June of 2015. A year later, she was elevated to lead-talent acquisition, diversity & inclusivity.

December of 2017 saw her relocating from Lucknow to Delhi on being elevated to human resource business partner-partner workforce management, Vodafone. In this role, she was responsible for complete lifecycle management of over 350 contract workers (recruitment, learning and development, compensation and benefits, performance appraisal, monthly payroll and exit clearance).

Mahesh’s next stop was GoMechanic.in in November 2018. She joined as senior manager, head-human resources and within five months was elevated to associate vice president, head-human resources. Another promotion in 2021 made her vice president, head-HR.

After four successful years with GoMechanic, Megha Mahesh switched to Paisabazaar. She played vice president, head-HR for a year and a half before moving to Airtel to head D&I, culture and wellbeing.

In her latest role at PayU, she will be leading talent management, culture, learning and development, diversity and inclusion, as well as employee engagement, among other responsibilities.

Mahesh’s appointment signals PayU’s intent to strengthen its people agenda at a time when culture, inclusion and talent management are becoming central to organisational success. Her career trajectory—spanning Vodafone, GoMechanic, Paisabazaar and Airtel—shows a consistent focus on building structures that balance operational rigour with employee wellbeing. Moving into PayU, she brings both breadth and depth across HR disciplines, from contract workforce management to diversity and inclusion strategy.
