Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has introduced the Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) training programme, developed in collaboration with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Foundation — an authority in HR practices. The initiative marks a significant step in the Ministry’s efforts to enhance institutional excellence and build a highly skilled workforce within Qatar’s health sector.

Through this programme, the Ministry aims to strengthen institutional capacity, enhance HR professionalism, and promote a culture of continuous learning and excellence across Qatar’s healthcare system. Designed to align with international HR standards, the programme focuses on strategic areas such as workforce planning, recruitment and selection, talent management, and organisational performance improvement.

The initiative will be rolled out in multiple phases, covering eight advanced training courses. A total of 43 employees from MoPH’s Human Resources Department are participating in the first phase. It combines theory with interactive, practical training to ensure participants can directly apply their learning in real-world work environments.

The CHRP programme supports Qatar National Vision 2030 by investing in human capital as a foundation for sustainable development. It reflects MoPH’s continued commitment to advancing professional capabilities, fostering innovation, and creating an efficient, future-ready workforce.
The move underscores MoPH’s leadership in adopting global best practices and setting benchmarks for other national institutions to follow.

Ultimately, the CHRP programme serves as a strategic platform to improve the overall work environment and contribute to the Ministry’s mission of delivering world-class healthcare services that align with Qatar’s sustainable growth goals.
