The Reliance Foundation has launched a new platform, the Reliance Foundation Skilling Academy, aimed at equipping India’s youth with skills for future job markets. The academy is designed to provide comprehensive training, expert guidance, and industry connections to young Indians.
The platform, launched in collaboration with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), offers a range of courses tailored to prepare young people for emerging job opportunities. It seeks to address the growing need for skills in sectors driven by new and advanced technologies. Additionally, the initiative aims to empower over 6,00,000 young Indians within the next year.
A collaboration between Reliance Foundation and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) will further extend the reach of the academy’s skill courses to students in higher education institutions across India, enhancing employability in alignment with the Skill India Mission.
The launch took place at a national conference on “Empowering Youth for the Jobs of the Future,” organised by Reliance Foundation in partnership with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). Furthermore, the event brought together key stakeholders from government, industry, academia and civil society to discuss strategies for enhancing youth skills in India.
The conference also featured notable figures, including Prof. T.G. Sitharam, Chairman, AICTE, and Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO, NSDC. It also highlighted the importance of preparing youth for jobs in new technology areas and ensuring equity in skilling initiatives.
With this initiative, the Reliance Foundation aims to create a dynamic, inclusive ecosystem for skill development, empowering the next generation of Indian workers to thrive in a rapidly- evolving global economy.
