In response to the growing global demand for Global Capability Centres (GCCs), ZS, a management consulting and technology firm, has announced plans to expand its global workforce by 4,000, with a large portion of the hiring concentrated in India.
Currently, ZS employs around 13,000 professionals across its 38 global offices. Of these, nearly 10,000 are working out of six cities in India—Hyderabad, Gurgaon, Noida, Pune, Bengaluru, and Chennai. The firm is looking to deepen its presence in India as it continues to evolve its service offerings across analytics, technology, and platform development.
The expansion highlights the rising strategic importance of India in the global GCC landscape. Traditionally seen as a hub for cost-efficient operations, India’s value proposition has now shifted to high-skill delivery in areas such as data science, AI and enterprise technology. ZS is at the forefront of this transition, positioning India not just as a back-end support location but as a core innovation centre.
ZS’s India-based teams are involved in end-to-end business operations, supporting clients across North America, Europe and Asia. The firm’s work spans industries but focuses more on healthcare, heling pharmaceutical companies build and operate advanced GCCs.
The company is also promoting its ‘GCC-as-a-service’ model, allowing global firms to set up and operate centres in India without managing the overhead. A notable example includes its work with Roche, wherein ZS runs a dedicated analytics centre in Chennai.
With this hiring spree, ZS aims to tap into India’s vast talent pool, strengthen global collaborations, and drive innovation across sectors.
