IFP Petro has announced the appointment of Gautam Mehra as chief human resources officer (CHRO), effective September 2026. He will be based in India and will champion organisation and people transformation for the IFP Group, including IFP Petro Products, Oil on Wheels, Enviro Oil Savers Association and Enablyst Labs.
With over two decades of rich experience in organisational development, talent and leadership development, culture, change and performance management, he is known for his human-centric approach to transformation, and his focus has always been on building resilient cultures and helping leaders grow.
Before joining IFP Petro, Mehra worked as an independent consultant, coach & academic facilitator from February 2025 to September 2026, where he advised companies on culture building, coaching and people development. He had taken a short 7-month career break from August 2024 to February 2025 in pursuit of new horizons.
From May 2022 to August 2024, he served as group head – people & culture, Centre of Excellence at Muthoot Fincorp in Trivandrum, leading strategic HR initiatives for Muthoot Pappachan Group. Earlier, at Bajaj Capital from May 2018 to April 2022, he spent 4 years strengthening talent and organisation development.
His foundational years include stints at Fareportal as Talent and OD Lead from August 2017 to May 2018, at Bharti AXA Life Insurance as OD Lead from May 2016 to May 2017, and a long and impactful tenure at Tech Mahindra Business Services from January 2009 to April 2016.
