    Meghana Rao joins Tata AIG as CHRO

    Rao previously served as human resources director for Flipkart’s Supply Chain Organisation

    Tata AIG General Insurance Company has appointed Meghana Rao as its new chief human resources officer. In her new role, she will lead the company’s people agenda with a focus on driving business growth, enabling cultural transformation, and building a future-ready workforce.

    Her priorities will include strengthening talent and capability development, fostering a high-performance and inclusive culture, enhancing leadership effectiveness, and bolstering Tata AIG’s employer brand.

    Bringing over two decades of expertise in human resources, her expertise lies in talent strategy and organisational transformation.

    Rao previously served as human resources director for Flipkart’s Supply Chain Organisation. She joined the company in 2021 and was responsible for business HR, diversity and inclusion, campus engagement and COE functions.

    She has spent more than 15 years in multiple leadership roles at ICICI Bank.

    She began her career with Larsen & Toubro, where she built a strong foundation in employee relations and performance management. As an HR executive, her responsibilities included hiring and on boarding, training and development, performance management and policy administration for the Design Engineering Centre.

    An alumnus of Symbiosis Institute for Management and Human Resource Development, she holds a master’s degree in labour law and labour welfare from Symbiosis Law School, Pune.
