After a successful three-year stint as head-human resources, Burckhardt Compression, Prachee Sonchal has taken up the role of director-HR, Foseco India.
Sonchal brings to the table over two decades of experience. An alumna of Savitribai Phule University, from where she completed an MBA and then an MPhil in human resources management/personnel administration, Sonchal began her professional journey with Tata Motors, in 2004.
After eight years of playing HR manager at Tata Motors, she moved to Tata Administrative Services (TAS) in August of 2012. Till June of 2013, she was exposed to various stints in the Tata Group companies, including, Tata Teleservices, Tata Communications, and Tata Starbucks.
July of 2013 saw her moving to Voltas Commercial Airconditioning Business, as manager-business HR. Almost a year and a half later, she moved to Forvia Hella as head of human resources, for Pune.
Over four years later, she joined GoAir, as general manager-HRBP. Prachee Sonchal’s next stop was Emerson Automation Solutions, as associate director, in March 2020. A year and a half into this role, she was elevated to associate director and site HR leader, Emerson Integrated Management Centre, Talegaon.
She was roped in to play head of human resources Burckhardt Compression, in October 2022. For the past three odd years, she had been spearheading the pan India HR strategy for 700+ employees including the Global Support Centre of this global manufacturing conglomerate.
Known for her punctuality, transparency and leadership skills, Sonchal’s dedication and ability to work hard will prove to be an asset to Foseco India.
