PwC Acceleration Centre India has elevated Sandhya Nambiar to chief people officer (CPO), broadening her remit across people operations, talent management and organisational transformation.
In her new role effective July 2026, Nambiar will lead the overall people strategy for PwC ACs in India. Key priorities include enhancing employee experience, nurturing future-ready leaders, and enabling workforce transformation to support the firm’s expansion plans.
This promotion follows her stint as deputy chief people officer and senior director at PwC ACs in India from January to August 2026. Prior to that, she was head of talent management for the India Acceleration Centre for four years, from March 2022 to February 2026. In that position based in Bengaluru, she drove HR strategy across 25,000+ employees and spearheaded leadership development and talent initiatives.
Nambiar brings over two decades of HR leadership experience from global firms. She spent more than 11 years at ANZ, starting as officer recruitment in March 2006. She progressed to team leader-recruitment in 2008, then manager employee relations from October 2008 to August 2009. From September 2009 to November 2014, she was HR business partner for operations teams supporting nearly 1000 employees. She also served as HRBP for Shared Services and Enablement in 2014-2015, and later as a senior HRBP for Technology and Wealth Operations from December 2014 to March 2019.
In March 2019, she joined Societe Generale Global Solution Centre as head HR business partner for Global Banking and Investor Solutions. Over the next three odd years, she led a team of nine HRBPs and managed the HRBP function for the division.
The elevation underscores the growing focus on people leadership at PwC AC India as it invests in high-performing teams and scalable people practices for its next phase of growth.
