VFS Global Academy has entered into a strategic partnership with BorderPlus, a workforce-mobility platform focused on enabling Indian professionals to access global opportunities. The collaboration will see VFS Global Academy deliver customised programmes designed for candidates who have already secured overseas placements and completed their documentation.

As part of the initiative, monthly Pre-Departure Orientation (PDOT) and soft skills training sessions will be conducted at six VFS Global Academy centres across India. These sessions are structured to help candidates navigate cultural norms, workplace expectations, and everyday systems in their destination countries, ensuring they are equipped to integrate and adapt from the start of their international careers.

The partnership integrates VFS Global Academy’s expertise in leadership training and documentation services with BorderPlus’ focus on workforce readiness. Together, the two organisations aim to provide end-to-end support, from document verification—including checks on educational qualifications, employment history, and proof of address—to professional and cultural training.

BorderPlus has set an ambitious target of training and placing over 15,000 nurses overseas within the next five years. As it scales up operations, the company plans to utilise dedicated VFS Global Academy centres as student-facing BorderPlus finishing schools. These hubs will provide seamless support, hands-on training, and preparation under one roof, making the transition to international roles smoother for candidates.

By creating a holistic system that goes beyond documentation and placements, the partnership is positioned to strengthen India’s global workforce pipeline while helping professionals thrive abroad both professionally and culturally.
