The Government of Karnataka is set to organise the second edition of the Bengaluru Skill Summit from  3 to 5 November, 2026, as part of its larger Vision 2030 strategy focused on workforce readiness, employability and economic growth.

The summit will be held at The Lalit Ashok and is expected to bring together policymakers, industry leaders, academic institutions, global organisations, skilling bodies and training partners from India and abroad. The initiative is being led by the Department of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship & Livelihood (SDEL).

The event will focus on preparing a future-ready workforce by strengthening industry-academia collaboration and expanding access to skill development across emerging sectors. Key discussions are expected around artificial intelligence (AI) digital technologies, Industry 4.0, deep tech, manufacturing, green jobs and services.

The summit will also explore large-scale upskilling and reskilling models aimed at improving employability and addressing changing workforce demands in both domestic and global markets. Apprenticeship-based learning, innovation-driven training systems and workforce mobility are expected to remain major focus areas.

Furthermore, the 2026 edition will place greater emphasis on execution, scalability and industry alignment in skilling frameworks. The summit is being hosted by Karnataka Skill Development Corporation in collaboration with Karnataka Skill Development Authority. Karnataka Digital Economy Mission is serving as the knowledge partner.

The event is expected to witness participation from over 4,500 delegates, including more than 150 speakers and 100 exhibitors. Organisers believe the summit will help strengthen Karnataka’s long-term ambition of becoming a major global talent and innovation hub.

A major focus will also be placed on digital transformation in workforce development. Discussions are expected around technology-enabled training platforms, data-driven skill mapping and real-time industry feedback systems that can help align skilling outcomes with evolving employer expectations.

The summit aims to create a more integrated skilling ecosystem by combining government initiatives, private sector participation and academic expertise to improve workforce capabilities across sectors and regions.
