Technip Energies, a global engineering and technology firm focused on the energy transition, has successfully recruited 317 young trainees in India this year. This recruitment initiative was part of the company’s extensive campus outreach programme, which spanned across multiple locations including its offices in Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai and its Modular Manufacturing Yard in Dahej, Gujarat.
A notable highlight of this intake is the strong emphasis on gender diversity, with approximately 60 per cent of the new hires being women. On a global scale, Technip Energies employs 30.5 per cent women, with 22 per cent of these women occupying leadership roles, reflecting the company’s ambitious diversity targets. In 2023, the company achieved a notable milestone by hiring 52 per cent women in its global graduate recruitment.
The focus on nurturing a future-ready team is part of Technip Energies’ broader strategy to lead the energy transition. This is supported by structured learning programmes and collaborations with premier institutes, aiming to accelerate progress towards a net-zero future.
Furthermore, the programme involved engaging with top engineering institutions, such as the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), to attract and select talented candidates through campus- placement events.
“As we drive the transformation of the energy industry, nurturing a future -ready team becomes imperative. Thanks to the energy, engagement and expertise of all our employees, we are increasingly recognised as the go-to engineering and technology company. Together, we are enabling the net zero trajectory to build a better tomorrow,” said Davendra Kumar, managing director, Technip Energies India.
In India, which has the second-largest workforce for Technip Energies, the country plays a crucial role in contributing to the company’s total global employee count.
