Celonis sets ambitious expansion plan to make India its global talent hub by 2027

Celonis, a global company in process intelligence, is gearing up for a major expansion in India, positioning the country as a core pillar of its global operations. The company aims to have one-third of its total workforce—around 1,500 employees—based in India by 2027. This marks a significant rise from the current 300 employees expected by the end of this fiscal year.

The announcement came during Celosphere 2025, where the company outlined its vision to make India a central hub for innovation, technology, and talent. With India’s rapidly growing pool of skilled professionals in artificial intelligence (AI) and process intelligence, Celonis sees the nation as critical to its global growth and digital transformation agenda.

India’s increasing presence in the global corporate landscape has also played a role in this strategic focus.

Over the past few years, the country has witnessed a remarkable surge in its representation among Global 2000 companies. This transformation highlights India’s evolving role from being a shared services location to becoming a centre for strategic decision-making and technology innovation.

A large share of Celonis’ advanced users are already based in India, working within Global Capability Centres (GCCs). These centres, once limited to support functions, are now driving technology-led business transformations and influencing key global decisions.

The company also emphasised the importance of India’s young and dynamic workforce, which gives it a demographic advantage unmatched by other regions. In line with this vision, Celonis has adopted the internal slogan #IndiaIsOurFuture to reflect its long-term commitment.

Further strengthening its global strategy, Celonis has also partnered with Databricks to integrate process intelligence with data intelligence—an initiative aimed at enhancing enterprise AI by providing richer business context.
