Yet another Apple store in India; hiring underway in Hyderabad

Apple is getting ready to grow its retail presence in India, and Hyderabad looks set to be the next city to host an Apple Store. The strongest sign is hiring: Apple has posted job openings on its careers site for roles such as Store Leader, Senior Manager, and Genius, all based in Hyderabad. These positions point to a new physical store, which would be Apple’s seventh in the country.

Apple only entered India’s retail market in 2023, opening two flagship stores in Mumbai and New Delhi. Since then, the company has moved quickly, adding three more outlets in 2025—Pune, Bengaluru, and Noida. A second Mumbai store has already been confirmed by CEO Tim Cook, though without a timeline. If Hyderabad’s store opens as expected, it will further strengthen Apple’s retail footprint and show its commitment to hiring and building teams locally.

The company’s expansion is driven by strong results from its existing stores. Apple Stores are designed not just for sales but also for customer engagement, training, and brand experiences. Cook recently said Apple had its best-ever retail quarter, with record revenues in India across iPhone, Mac, iPad, and services. This success is fuelling more hiring and investment in retail staff.

For job seekers, Apple’s recruitment in Hyderabad highlights opportunities in leadership and customer-facing roles. These positions are central to Apple’s retail model, which relies on skilled employees to deliver product expertise, technical support, and immersive customer experiences. The hiring also reflects Apple’s interest in building strong local teams to support its growing base of Indian customers.
Industry data backs this momentum: Apple is now among India’s top five smartphone brands by sales, with the iPhone 16 ranked as the world’s best-selling smartphone. With new stores and fresh hiring, Apple is clearly betting on India as a major growth market.
