Robert Armour has joined First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) as vice president and head of executive talent acquisition, taking charge of executive hiring for the Abu Dhabi-based banking group.

Armour brings 17 years of experience in talent acquisition, spanning agency, recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) and in-house recruitment. His expertise includes technology recruitment, alongside experience in managing talent-acquisition functions across organisations.

Before joining FAB in November 2026, Armour spent over six years at KATIM, where he most recently served as head of talent acquisition from March 2022 to November 2026. Prior to that, he was senior manager – talent acquisition at the company, a role he took up in September 2020.

Earlier, Armour worked with HSBC for over six years. He served as regional talent acquisition lead in the UAE from June 2017 to September 2020 and also worked as a vendor recruiter for the bank’s technology hiring operations in London.

He began his recruitment career in 2009 as a senior IT recruitment consultant with GCS recruitment specialists in London, where he worked for four years, developing expertise in hiring for the Microsoft .NET technology market. He later joined Lawrence Harvey Group as principal consultant, handling recruitment across web, digital and mobile roles.

Armour holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Anglia Ruskin University.
