    Prashant Patankar to head HR for JioBlackRock

    Patankar moves from Colgate-Palmolive where he was leading HR since 2019

    Prashant Patankar has moved from Colgate-Palmolive to JioBlackRock Investment Advisers, to head HR.

    Armed with a master’s degree in Labour Studies from the Maharashtra Institute of Labour Studies, this commerce graduate spent over two years with Capgemini as executive-HRD in the initial years of his career.

    In October of 2007, he joined BA Continuum as assistant manager-HR.

    March of 2008 was witness to Prashant Patankar taking up the role of assistant manager-HR integration and business partner, Standard Chartered Bank, working out of Mumbai. He was elevated to HR business partner -retail business, technology, support and governance functions, in 2011. Another promotion in 2013 put him in the role of acting head-human resources. He led the HR function for Standard Chartered Securities India, the broking subsidiary of the Bank, to deliver people agenda across retail and institutional equities businesses covering an employee base of over 600 employees across 19 locations.

    The next promotion in April of 2014 saw him taking on the role of HR business partner-wealth management, India.

    From November of 2014 to September of 2017, Patankar served as senior HR business partner-retail bank, India. For almost three years, he successfully provided

    HRBP support and advisory for branch banking, client acquisition and head office functions in retail bank, India.

    By the time he moved on from Standard Chartered in 2019, he had reached the position of country HR lead-client acquisition, retail bank.

    It was in October of 2019 that he joined Colgate-Palmolive after an over 11-year stint with Standard Chartered.

    Since 2019 he had been playing the HR Lead for Colgate’s GCC / GBS Centre in Mumbai, accountable for providing strategic HR direction, governance and day-to-day operations.

    Now, in his latest assignment, Prashant Patankar is looking forward to working “with this young and diverse team as we attract the right talent, scale up and build an engaging and performing culture at Jio BlackRock”.
