    TCS elevates Swarna Sudha Selvaraj to head-HR, AI & data

    Selvaraj has been with TCS since 2006 when she joined as learning executive

    Swarna Sudha Selvaraj has been promoted to the role of head-HR, AI and data, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). She has been associated with TCS for over 18 years now, with her most recent position being global head, talent development, AI.Cloud.

    After completing an MSW from the Madras School of Social Work in 2001, Selvaraj also obtained a Diploma in Training and Development from the Indian Society for Training and Development, in 2005.

    The first five years of her professional journey were spent with the Murugappa Group. From 2001 to 2005 she served as industrial social worker, EID Parry India. Then she became executive, training and development, Tube Investments of India Corporate Training Centre.

    It was in September 2006 that she joined TCS as a learning executive. Less than two years into this role, she was elevated to head-learning and development, banking and financial services. For almost six years, she was responsible for leadership development and competency development in banking and financial services business unit with 45000+ employees working across the globe. February of 2014 saw her taking on the role of regional head, learning and development. By July 2015 she had become head of learning platforms, content solutions. Another promotion in October 2016 put her in the role of talent development head, Europe, UK & Ireland. Based out of Londong, she was responsible for initial and continuous learning of employees in the UK and Ireland in different streams, namely technology, business domain, agile, culture, language, processes and leadership development.

    She was back in Chennai from June 2021 to September 2023, playing head-talent development, strategic programmes. In between, she also headed post-offer engagement, India graduates, for about ten months, as a part-time responsibility. By October 2023, she was global head, talent development, AI.Cloud.

    Now, in her elevated role, she will handle full stack HR, end-to-end.

    She is known for her unmatched ability to build talent-development programmes. HRKatha congratulates SWarna Sudha Selvaraj on her promotion and wishes her all the best as she continues to bring out the best in people.
