UTI Asset Management Company (UTI AMC) has allotted 8,896 equity shares under its Employee Stock Option Scheme (ESOP) – 2007. The allotment was approved on 9 September, 2025.

Following the allotment, the company’s issued and paid-up share capital has increased from Rs 1,28,18,31,410 (12,81,83,141 equity shares of face value Rs 10 each) to Rs 1,28,19,20,370 (12,81,92,037 equity shares of face value Rs10 each). The newly- issued equity shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the existing equity shares, as per UTI AMC in a regulatory filing.

The shares were issued against the exercise of stock options granted to eligible employees under the UTI AMC Employee Stock Option Scheme 2007. The scheme was introduced to align employee interests with those of shareholders, reward long-term performance, and retain top talent in an increasingly competitive financial services industry.

For employees, ESOPs serve as a wealth-creation tool, allowing them to share in the company’s growth and success. By exercising their options, employees gain an ownership stake that may appreciate in value over time, depending on the company’s market performance. This not only enhances financial security but also fosters a stronger emotional and professional commitment to the organisation.

For UTI AMC, allotting equity under ESOPs helps in talent retention and motivation. By linking rewards to the company’s performance, ESOPs encourage employees to think like shareholders, driving productivity, efficiency and innovation. The scheme also reduces attrition, as employees with stock options are more likely to stay with the company to realise long-term benefits.

With this latest allotment, the company continues its strategy of reinforcing employee alignment with its long-term growth and market leadership.
