The Department of Government Enablement is intensifying efforts to build a future-ready workforce, placing human capital at the centre of its vision for an AI-enabled government. The strategy focuses on preparing Emirati talent for evolving economic demands while strengthening the emirate’s long-term competitiveness.

At the core of this push is the Mawaheb Talent Hub, an integrated platform designed to go beyond conventional hiring models. The initiative prioritises upskilling, career development, and aligning workforce capabilities with emerging sectors. It aims to bridge labour market gaps while expanding access to meaningful employment through partnerships with public and private organisations.

The hub has introduced a range of programmes to improve workforce readiness. These include career counselling, specialised training, and remote-work initiatives in collaboration with firms such as G42. It has also launched open hiring events to connect job seekers directly with employers across industries.

The scale of impact has been significant. In 2025 alone, the platform trained over 10,000 individuals and facilitated more than 6,000 job placements. Its expansion into regions such as Al Ain and Al Dhafra has widened access, supported by multiple partnerships and new job-creation opportunities.

A strong ecosystem of collaborations underpins the initiative. Academic alliances with institutions such as Khalifa University and ADGM Academy are focused on skill development. At the same time, industry partnerships with companies including ADNOC and Mubadala are helping align talent with strategic sectors.

Global collaborations are also playing a key role. Partnerships with Microsoft, Binance, and LinkedIn are enabling advanced training in digital technologies and artificial intelligence.

Looking ahead, the department plans to introduce an AI-driven platform to identify skill gaps and guide talent into high-demand roles. By 2027, several advanced applications are expected to be launched, reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s ambition to position itself as a global hub for innovation and talent.
