Electric two- and three-wheeler manufacturer Zelio E-Mobility has announced a major hiring drive as it gears up for the next phase of expansion. The company plans to more than double its workforce during the current financial year, taking its employee strength beyond 500 from the current 260.
The recruitment push will be spread across the company’s manufacturing facilities in Hisar, Bhubaneswar and Coimbatore. Of the planned additions, around 100 employees will be hired in Hisar, 50 in Bhubaneswar and another 100 in Coimbatore.
The Coimbatore facility, which is the company’s newest manufacturing unit, is expected to account for a significant share of the hiring as operations are ramped up and production scales further.
Zelio said the hiring initiative will focus on strengthening both operational and strategic functions. The company is looking to recruit plant heads, research and development professionals, production-planning specialists, quality experts and zonal sales leaders. It also plans to expand its service and after-sales teams to support its growing dealer network and customer base across the country.
Commenting on the expansion, Divyanshu Agarwal, CEO, Zelio E-Mobility, said, “Our expansion is not only focused on manufacturing growth but also on building strong local ecosystems in each region we operate in, ensuring long-term value creation through employment and skill development.”
The workforce expansion comes on the back of strong business growth. Zelio reported revenue of Rs 313.68 crore in FY26, reflecting an 81.8 per cent increase over the previous fiscal. The company has remained profitable since inception and has recorded robust growth over the last four years.
The announcement follows Zelio’s listing on the BSE SME platform in October 2025. With expanding manufacturing capabilities and a dealer network spanning more than 400 outlets across over 25 states, the company is now targeting further expansion, with plans to increase its dealership footprint to over 550 by FY27, particularly in South India and the North-East.
