Dr Reddy’s Laboratories has announced that its chief human resources officer (CHRO), Archana Bhaskar, will step down from her role later this year. In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange, the pharmaceutical major confirmed that Bhaskar will cease to be CHRO and part of the company’s senior management team effective 30 November, 2025.

Bhaskar joined Dr Reddy’s in 2017 and has since led both the human resources function and corporate communications. Over the past eight years, she has been instrumental in shaping the company’s people strategy, driving cultural transformation, and strengthening leadership development.

Her career spans more than three decades across some of the world’s largest organisations. Prior to Dr Reddy’s, Bhaskar spent over a decade with Shell, where she last served as vice president-human resources for Global Commercial. In that role, she oversaw HR for Shell’s lubricants, aviation fuels, and specialities businesses across multiple geographies.

She began her career with Unilever, where she worked for more than 14 years in various leadership positions across India and Europe. Industry peers credit her with championing inclusive workplace practices and aligning HR with fast-evolving business needs.

An alumna of Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi, Bhaskar also holds a management degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.

Her departure marks a key leadership change at Dr Reddy’s as the company continues to expand its global footprint in pharmaceuticals. The company has not yet disclosed details on her successor.
