Garware Hi-Tech Films has appointed Nikhil Sharma as its new chief people officer, effective 9 April, 2026. The appointment follows a recent leadership change, with the exit of Yogesh Chavan from a senior HR role.
In the new role, Sharma will lead the human resources and administration functions, with a mandate to align people strategy with business goals and support long-term growth.
He is expected to drive initiatives around talent acquisition, development, and retention, while enhancing overall employee experience. His leadership will also focus on building efficient HR systems and strengthening organisational alignment as the company continues to expand its footprint in specialty polyester films.
With close to 18 years of experience, Sharma brings strong expertise in strategic HR leadership within manufacturing and industrial sectors. His experience spans talent management, organisational design, HR transformation, and workforce planning. He has also worked extensively across compensation and benefits, compliance, employee relations, and HR process digitisation.
Garware Hi-Tech Films operates in a competitive manufacturing landscape, where strong HR leadership plays a critical role in managing large workforces and enabling operational efficiency. With Sharma’s appointment, the company aims to sharpen its organisational strategy and build a future-ready workforce to support innovation and market expansion.
