    IBM elevates Aparna N. to lead global talent, leadership and culture agenda

    IBM has elevated Aparna N. to the role of chief talent, leadership & culture Officer. The elevation marks an important milestone in her more than two-decade career with the organisation, during which she has become a central figure in shaping global people practices and future-focused workforce strategies.

    In this role, Aparna will held the helm of IBM’s talent, leadership and culture transformation, reinforcing the company’s focus on building a resilient and future-ready workforce.

    Aparna’s journey at IBM spans multiple high-impact roles across business units and corporate functions. In her most recent position as vice president-HR, talent management, she oversaw company-wide programmes aimed at building capabilities for the future. Her work centred on strengthening leadership development, accelerating skill transformation and driving strategic talent initiatives across global teams.

    Prior to that, she served as VP-HR, offerings & growth within IBM Consulting. In this role, she guided the talent and culture mandate for the company’s large consulting business, a segment generating over USD 20 billion in revenue. She also led human resources integration for several international acquisitions, ensuring consistent people practices across newly onboarded teams.

    Over the years, Aparna has held diverse HR leadership positions, including director-talent strategy & solutions, global mobility leader, global HR leader for IBM Systems, and global compensation programme manager. These roles helped her develop deep expertise in workforce planning, global mobility, compensation structures and organisational design.

    She joined IBM in 2003 as its GBS (global business services)- talent acquisition. Her expertise spans across compensation, talent management, organisation design, leadership development and global mobility. She has a deep appreciation of the challenges businesses face and is passionate about creating successful and engaging experiences for the clients & IBMers.

    Supported by academic experience from institutions such as Harvard Business School, Cornell ILR School and the National Institute of Management, Aparna now takes on a global mandate. Her new role places her at the helm of IBM’s talent, leadership and culture transformation, reinforcing the company’s focus on building a resilient and future-ready workforce.
