With more than 25 years of experience in the field of human resources, Lall is fully equipped to understand the needs of the industry.

Madhavi Lall has been appointed head of HR at Deutsche Bank, India. She replaces Makarand Khatavkar, who moved to Kotak Mahindra Bank last year.

Prior to this, Lall was managing director, HR, at Accenture. She started her career with GlaxoSmithKline in 1990 as part of her internship programme. But her professional career began with HCL-HP Ltd where she spent two year and rose to the position of regional HR head for the western region. Her next destination was Colgate-Palmolive where she spent four years between 1993 and 97 and was appointed as senior manager, recruitment and HR planning.

She was appointed head, HR, at Standard Chartered Bank, India in 2007 but was soon given the regional role for the entire South Asian market.

Eventually, Lall became head, employee relations, group HR, at Standard Chartered Bank.

In 2014, she moved out of the banking industry to join Accenture as managing director, HR, only to return to Deutsche Bank, as head, HR.

Lall completed her graduation and postgraduation in mathematics from St Stephen’s College, Delhi to join XLRI in 1991. She also completed a course in leadership at Oxford University in 2009.
