After a successful stint of over seven years with Boeing, Jonas Prasanna has joined Novartis as head-people services and solutions, India.
This IIM-Kozhikode alumnus began his professional journey with Breakthrough, as volunteer facilitator for experiential learning. For almost two and a half years, he facilitated development workshops on high performance team building, leadership, integrity and values and entrepreneurship for various companies.
In 2007, he moved to Philips, as management trainee-HR. Seven months into this role he was elevated to HR business partner-Philips IT applications. Another elevation in October 2010 made him talent acquisition manager (special projects). Among other things, he was responsible for creating process maps and standard operating procedure for talent acquisition – recruitment, internal movement, referral process and university recruitment. He also implemented Net Promoter Score (NPS) to measure candidate experience and engagement across various stages of the candidate and recruitment lifecycle.
After spending seven years at Philips, he moved to Capgemini, as employer brand manager. For the next almost three years, he successfully helped the organisation design and deploy it’s employer brand and social recruiting strategy.
From May 2017 to February 2018 Jonas Prasanna served as senior human resources manager, Hotstar, playing HR business spartner for the sales team.
It was in June of 2020 that he began his association with Boeing. He was part of the leadership development programme for over a year and a half before being elevated to international HR business partner. By April 2022 he became APAC HRBP leader.
Driving change and culture transformation with a focus on business outcomes are his forte.
As he settles into his new role at Novartis, the Swiss innovative medicines multinational, HRKatha wishes Jonas Prasanna all the best in his mission to coach and collaborate with leaders to build cohesive, inclusive and engaged teams.
