Enterprise frontline enablement platform, Wooqer has appointed seasoned HR leader Anurag Verma as its new chief people success officer, marking a significant addition to its leadership team as the company sharpens its focus on culture, execution and scale.
In his new role, Verma said his focus is clear: to make Wooqer genuinely happy, measurably impactful and relentlessly successful. He also indicated that the company is actively hiring, inviting builders and doers to be part of Wooqer’s growth journey.
Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Verma shared that his first conversation with Wooqer’s leadership was not centred on traditional HR discussions, but on building a company that wins the right way — through people, culture and disciplined execution. He highlighted the organisation’s people philosophy, which is anchored in happy minds driving high output, straight talk enabling quick decisions, deep ownership translating into visible results, and strong teams operating at a sustainable pace.
Verma brings over two decades of experience in human resources. At ShareChat, he was leading the people functions, including talent acquisition, HR strategy & process, talent management and total rewards functions. His skills in making lively, welcoming, and successful workplaces matched with ShareChat’s dedication to building an energetic and varied culture.
Prior to joining ShareChat, Verma was associated with Uniphore, a conversational AI company, as its vice president-people. He has also held many leadership roles in several companies, including Flipkart, India Telecom Infra (ITIL) and Airtel. His previous stints also include Maharishi Group, Sylvan Learning, Visisht Group, among others.
His appointment signals Wooqer’s intent to invest deeply in culture and leadership as it continues to scale its platform and customer footprint. The company views the role of chief people success officer as central to its ambition of building teams that deliver results without losing sight of long-term sustainability, making people success a core business priority rather than a support function.
