Code and Core rewards longtime employee with Rs 1 lakh bonus

The company said the move reflects its commitment to celebrating loyalty and long-term contributions at a time when attrition remains a major challenge

In a rare gesture of workplace recognition, Ahmedabad-based IT firm Code and Core has honoured one of its earliest employees, Krunal Chaudhari, with a Rs 1 lakh bonus and a commemorative medal. The move reflects the firm’s commitment to celebrating loyalty and long-term contributions at a time when attrition remains a major challenge in India’s technology sector.

Krunal joined Code and Core in 2017, when it was a three-member startup. Over the past eight years, he has been part of its transformation into a 48-member organisation with more than 1,300 projects delivered across 25 countries. His consistent efforts, the company noted, have played a central role in its growth and success.

The recognition ceremony highlighted Code and Core’s broader employee-first culture. The company has rolled out a benefits framework that includes family and term insurance, five-day workweeks, performance-based incentives, and leisure perks such as movie outings and free snacks. Leadership at the firm emphasised that these measures are designed to create a workplace rooted in trust, collective progress, and shared achievement.

Industry observers point out that while financial rewards and appraisals are common in the IT sector, such symbolic gestures—such as medals and public recognition—remain uncommon. By combining financial incentives with emotional acknowledgement, Code and Core has set an example that could encourage other firms to rethink how they reward employee loyalty.

For Krunal, the recognition is not just about monetary value but about being seen as part of the company’s journey from its early days. It underscores how trust and commitment between employees and employers can foster long-term growth for both.
