Wipro expanded its workforce by 2,260 employees in the quarter ended 30 September 2025, bringing the company’s total headcount to 2,35,492. The growth was primarily driven by fresher hiring, with nearly 2,900 graduates joining the firm during the period.
The company said it plans to continue hiring based on business demand while deepening its focus on a ‘train-and-hire’ model. Under this approach, Wipro collaborates with campuses to assess and prepare students before onboarding, ensuring faster deployment on client projects once they join.
Attrition continued to decline during the quarter, falling to 14.9 per cent on a last-twelve-month basis from 15.1 per cent in the previous quarter. At the same time, utilisation excluding trainees rose to 86.4 per cent compared with 85 per cent in Q1FY26. The combination of lower attrition and higher utilisation has allowed the company to align hiring with project requirements while maintaining a steady pipeline of fresh talent.
Financially, Wipro reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 3,246 crore in Q2FY26, up 1.15 per cent from Rs 3,209 crore a year earlier. The company noted that growth momentum is returning, with Europe and the Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa regions showing signs of recovery.
Large deal wins for the quarter stood at $2.85 billion, up from $2.67 billion in the previous quarter, while total deal wins reached $4.67 billion — a 30.9 per cent rise year-on-year in constant currency.
