BPL Medical Technologies has appointed Rupini Raman as head–human capital, strengthening its leadership team as the company accelerates its growth and expands its footprint in the evolving MedTech sector. In her new role, she will lead the company’s human capital strategy with a focus on building agile, high-performance teams aligned with BPL MedTech’s long-term business ambitions.

Raman brings over 18 years of experience across startups and multinational organisations, with expertise spanning organisational transformation, talent strategy, rewards, culture building and HR digitisation.

Speaking about the appointment, Shravan Subramanyam, managing director, BPL Medical Technologies, said, “Raman’s experience in building agile, forward-looking organisations will play a key role in helping us scale with clarity and consistency.”

Commenting on her appointment, Raman said, “BPL MedTech is at an exciting point in its journey. The opportunity lies in building teams that go beyond traditional roles; where even functions such as sales and operations are increasingly tech-enabled. I look forward to creating a talent framework that supports innovation, agility, and long-term growth.”

Prior to joining BPL Medical Technologies, Raman worked as a fractional CHRO and strategic people advisor through her independent consulting practice, where she led HR digitisation, organisation redesign and employer- branding projects for manufacturing, renewable energy and international organisations.

Earlier, she served as head-human capital, Yulu, where she was part of the core leadership team during a significant growth phase for the EV mobility platform. During her tenure, she helped scale the organisation threefold, strengthened its employer brand and culture code, reduced attrition by 25 per cent and introduced a gig workforce model that improved operational efficiency.

Before that, she was head – HR, Vivriti Capital, where she drove workforce expansion, strengthened leadership retention and supported the company’s funding journey through strategic talent initiatives and organisation-wide OKR alignment.

Raman has also held leadership roles with Agility across the Middle East, Europe and Asia, including serving as head–rewards and talent management, MEA, and manager – rewards & talent management in Switzerland. Her earlier career includes HR and talent roles at RR Donnelley, American Express and The Leela Palaces Hotels and Resorts.
