CheQ, the Indian credit card management platform, has appointed Rupal Rajal as head of human resources (HR). She was earlier with Findem as director-HR since 2024.

Rajal, who started off as an HR analyst  with Accenture in 2009, spent over four years leading lateral, executive, and campus-hiring initiatives while partnering with stakeholders to strengthen talent pipelines and hiring effectiveness. She served as HR business partner for a 1,000+ strong technology workforce. Additionally, she drove employee engagement, retention, workforce analytics, and talent-management initiatives supporting large-scale technology teams.

February of 2014 saw her taking on the role of associate HR manager at Kerry. For the next three and a half years, she led HR operations and business partnering for 350+ employees across India and South Asia, looking into workforce planning, talent management, leadership development, employee relations, and organisational effectiveness.

After a break of over a year during which she was a full-time parent, Rupal Rajal  offered her services as an independent HR consultant and advisor for over two years.

Rupifi appointed her head of HR in May of 2021. She built and scaled the complete HR function while growing the organisation from 20 to 400+ employees in under two years. In the three years that she spent here, she established the people-operating model across talent acquisition, HRBP, performance management, employee engagement, learning & development, operations, compliance, and culture.

Jupiter roped her in to play director-HR in 2024. There, till recently, she was leading the people strategy for a 250-person global AI-powered talent-intelligence organisation operating across India, the US, Canada, and distributed remote teams.

For CheQ, this appointment is not just about filling a leadership role—it reflects a commitment to embedding HR as a core driver of capability, performance, and future?ready workforce transformation.

Rajal, an alumna of XLRI, Jamshedpur and Christ University, Bangalore, is passionate about building future-ready organisations where business performance, employee experience, and leadership capability grow together.

HRKatha wishes her luck and hopes she will find ample opportunity to pursue her passion at CheQ, even while she helps strengthen the company’s capabilities.
