The Kerala State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (KSCDRC) has ruled that government employees covered under the Medisep health insurance scheme cannot be denied reimbursement for emergency accident treatment received at a non-empanelled hospital. The commission also held that such claims cannot be restricted to the tariff rates applicable to empanelled hospitals. HCL Technologies (HCLTech) reduced its workforce by 3,292 employees during the first quarter of FY27, even as the company reported robust financial performance and stable employee attrition. According to the company’s quarterly disclosure, total headcount declined to 2,23,889 as of 30 June, 2026, from 2,27,181 at the end of the March quarter.
