    Many recent studies and researches have confirmed that reskilling and upskilling of the workforce is one of the biggest challenges that businesses are facing in today’s time. To discuss the persisting challenges in corporate learning and the upcoming trends in the training and learning industry, HRKatha introduces to you, ‘The Great HR Debate, L&D special’. Harappa Education is the title sponsor for this event.

    The ‘Great HR Debate’ has been conceived to discuss the hard-hitting topics of people strategy in India. In the Learning and Development (L&D) special edition of ‘The Great HR Debate’, senior HR honchos and learning heads will delve into, deliberate and debate on topical issues in L&D.

    The debate will unravel many insights and examine new approaches to learning from the corporate world. The panel will not just opine but reveal bold ambitions, even while challenging the laggards. We will learn hard truths about the scale of the challenges as well as unprecedented opportunities for real change.

    This leg of The Great HR Debate will be held virtually, which is going to take place on Friday, February 19, 2021, 2 PM onwards.

    In this first edition of The Great HR Debate, HRKatha is bringing together some of the most eminent HR and L&D leaders from across industries in India.

    It will have three panels in total, comprising two CHRO panels and one CLO panel.

    The first panel will start at 2 PM and will be moderated by Saurabh Nigam, VP-HR, Omidyar Networks India. This panel will consist of four speakers, namely Emmanuel David, director, Tata Management Training Centre; Jayant Kumar, Jt. president – HR, Adani Ports & SEZ; Tanaya Mishra, global CHRO, Essar Projects and Ravi Mishra, SVP-HR, Global Epoxy Business, Aditya Birla Group. The topic for this panel will be ‘From Learn-to-Work to Work-to-Learn: Are we ready?’

    After a short break of 10 minutes, we will move on to the second panel, which is being moderated by Shreyasi Singh, CEO & founder, Harappa Education. The second panel consists of six speakers, such as Indraneel Das, Global L&D head, Kohler; Nitin Thakur, head – L&D, Jindal Stainless; Shivin Tikoo, head – organisational development, Mahindra; Dileepan Moorkanat, head of learning, HPE India; Rohit Iyer, director – L&D, PwC, and Vishal Choudhary, national head – learning operations, Bharti Airtel. The topic for this panel will be ‘Superlearning: The immediate need to reskill, upskill and outskill for a future workforce.’

    Following a brief intermission, we will move on to the third panel, the highlight of which will be the special address by Pramath Raj Sinha, founder & chairman, Harappa Education.

    This third and last panel will be moderated by Mahipal Nair, CHRO, NeilsenIQ. It will have four speakers, namely Nihar Ghosh, president HR, Emami; Rajorshi Ganguli, president & global head – HR, Alkem Laboratories; Satyajit Mohanty, CHRO, Crompton Greaves Electricals and Kamlesh Dangi, group CHRO, Incred Financial Services. The topic for this panel is ‘Has the crisis given birth to the need for cross-functional training?’

    All the panels will have a five minutes Q/A round, where questions will be taken from the attendees to make the panel discussion more interactive. The panels will last for 50 minutes each.
