Mitsubishi Electric Corporation will launch a new global internal career- mobility programme in October, allowing employees to apply for job opportunities across its worldwide group companies.

Called Global Career Passport, the initiative is designed to help employees pursue career opportunities beyond their current location or business unit. The company aims to facilitate 20 successful internal job matches globally by the financial year ending March 2028.

Under the programme, participating group companies will publish internal vacancies on a shared platform, enabling employees to apply based on their career goals, skills and professional experience. Employees selected through the process will transfer to the company where they secure the role.

The initiative is part of Mitsubishi Electric’s broader talent- management strategy, which focuses on supporting employee career development while strengthening global workforce mobility.

The company said the programme is intended to encourage the movement of talent across countries, regions and business functions, enabling employees with diverse skills and backgrounds to collaborate and share expertise across the organisation.

By expanding internal mobility, Mitsubishi Electric aims to provide employees with greater career-development opportunities while building a more globally- connected workforce. The company also expects the initiative to support innovation by encouraging the exchange of ideas and experience across its international operations.

The programme will be rolled out across Mitsubishi Electric and its overseas group companies, with participation encouraged throughout the global organisation.
