The All India Postal Employees Union Group ‘C’ has urged the Department of Posts to announce the Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) for postal employees for 2025-26 ahead of the upcoming festive season.
In a letter dated 11 September, 2026, addressed to the Secretary, Department of Posts, the union sought an early announcement of the bonus, citing the approaching festive period and employees’ financial commitments during the season.
The union noted that Durgotsav will begin on 17 October, followed by Dussehra on 20 October and Diwali on 8 November. It said postal employees were awaiting the announcement of the PLB and that bonus announcements had often been made close to or after the start of the festive period.
According to the union, such delays can create difficulties for employees in managing family commitments, social obligations and festival-related expenses.
The union has, therefore, requested the Department of Posts to complete the announcement process well before the festivities begin, allowing employees to plan their finances in advance.
